Creating value from silicone

Wanju Fire Station held a ceremony on November 8th in the third-floor conference room to commemorate the 62nd Firefighters’ Day. Observed annually on November 9th, Firefighters’ Day is a national day dedicated to honoring the dedication and hard work of firefighters who work tirelessly to ensure public safety. This year marks the 62nd anniversary of the occasion.

Approximately 80 people, including firefighters and civilians, attended the event. The ceremony was held to recognize the sacrifice and service of firefighters and volunteer firefighters who protect citizens' lives and property. It aimed to boost morale, foster communication and unity among staff, and commend the contributions of distinguished personnel.

At the event, KCC Silicone’s Jeonju Plant was recognized for its outstanding performance in emergency support evaluations and joint emergency response training with Wanju Fire Station. Choi Young-gi, head of the Safety and Environment Team, received the Wanju Fire Chief’s Award on behalf of the plant.

Chief Jeon Du-pyo of Wanju Fire Station expressed his gratitude, stating, “I deeply appreciate the hard work of our firefighters, volunteer firefighters, and all those who fulfill their duties under challenging conditions. We will continue to do our utmost to ensure the safety of our community.”
