KCC Silicone will participate in In-cosmetics Korea 2024, held from July 24 to 26 at COEX in Seoul.

In-cosmetics Korea 2024 is the largest cosmetics ingredients exhibition in the country, attracting significant attention and participation from global cosmetics industry experts and professionals, reflecting the global trend of K-beauty.

At this exhibition, KCC Silicone plans to focus on promoting silicone products for sun care under the theme of ‘UV Defense,’ considering the global exhibition is held during summer.

SeraSilk EL 30 (Dimethicone, Drometrizole Dimethicone/Bis-Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer) is a functional silicone that incorporates the UV-blocking ingredient Drometrizole into a gel. It not only boosts SPF but also helps maintain it. Additionally, as a silicone gel blend, it offers a soft texture, allowing for the creation of non-sticky sun care cosmetics that leave a matte finish, ideal for summer use.

SeraSense RBS 11 (Isododecane, Trimethylsiloxysilicate) is a gel resin characterized by thixotropy (the property of becoming less viscous when subjected to shear stress and returning to a gel state when at rest). It possesses both polar and alkyl groups, providing excellent compatibility with polar and organic components in cosmetics. It forms a strong film that is effective in preventing sun cream from being washed away by sweat and sebum in summer.

With this summer expected to bring extreme heat, strong UV rays, and heavy rain, KCC Silicone’s SPF-boosting products and those with strong durability are anticipated to receive significant attention.

In addition, KCC Silicone will introduce several new products, including PEG-free dispersants with excellent compatibility and emulsifiers for low-viscosity emulsions.
